The Beginner Rider Course (BRC) is the best place for a new rider to start once they've made the decision to ride.


Successful completion of this course and its knowledge and skill tests, which consists of approximately five hours of formal classroom activities and 10 hours of riding instruction (conducted over two sessions), will allow you to receive your Mass Motorcycle License and will eliminate the road test requirment at the RMV.


Motorcycles and helmets are provided for your use during the course. Also, a course completion card will earn you a 10% insurance discount.

Our Classroom and Outdoor Riding Range is located at our Ayer- Fort Devens Facility at 100 Fitchburg Road, Route 2A

Come Prepared to Ride for all Classes!


Directions to Ayer MA Training Facility from Route 495:

Take Exit 30. Route 2A west, around rotary, and into Ayer center (about 6 miles); take right in Ayer center (across from Mobil gas station) following route 2A towards Groton/Fitchburg; 2A veers to the left (3/4 mi); continue following route 2A and cross R/R tracks (3/4 mi); chain link fence on left; about 500' gate is on the left (State Police Driver Training); enter the gate and take immediate right to our range.


Alternate from East or West via Route 2: 

Take exit 38B (Ayer/Groton, Route 110/111); follow 110/111 towards Ayer/Groton to the rotary (about 2 miles); follow the rotary to Route 2A (by McDonalds) into Ayer; follow the directions from above.
